Flooring Substrates

North Group Australia supplies a range of flooring substrates to provide a suitable surfacing for laying vinyl, cork or ceramic tiles.

Compressed Fibre Cement

A high density fibre cement sheet that is easy to work with and ideally suited for use as the substrate for floors in wet areas of framed constructions, including upper storeys and transportable buildings.  Compressed fibre cement is equally suited for use in the cladding of external decks. It is impact resistant, non-combustible and immune to termite attack or permanent damage from water.

Vinyl or Cork Underlay

Underlay sheets designed, tested and manufactured to provide a smooth, durable and completely termite and rodent-proof surface on which to lay vinyl and cork tiles. The sheets are immune to water damage and will not swell. Can also be used under parquetry floor tiles.

Ceramic Tile Floor Underlay

Specially formulated fibre cement sheeting designed to provide a stable substrate for slate and ceramic floor tiles. The sheeting can be installed over new or existing timber floorboards, plywood or particleboard flooring.
